Quartz

Quartz is the most abundant and most common mineral on the Earth. It is found in almost every geological environment and also it is a component of almost every rock type. It has a hexagonal crystal structure and is made of trigonal crystallized silica. It is most varied in terms of varieties, colours and forms.

Varieties of Quartz:

  • Macro Crystalline: Individual crystal is Visible to unaided eye in this variety of quartz. It is highly transparent.
  • Micro/ Crypto Crystalline: aggregates of crystals are visible only under high magnification. This variety of quartz are either translucent or mostly opaque.

NLP Group has one state of the art production unit in Kishangarh, Rajasthan for quartz powder. The unit is expanded in 30000 sq. metre with 8 production lines for Quartz Granule and Powder. Annual Capacity of Quartz Granule & Powder combined together is 1,50,000 MT.
We have a very strong R& D section wherein we tests all the parameter with latest equipment’s e.g. Moisture Analyser, Spectrophotometer, Visual spectrometer, Chemical Testing and Sieve Analysis to Test the Sieve on ASTM Standards and to ensure the highest quality of product is delivered to customer.

We produce Quartz in forms of:

  • Granular Particles (0.1 to 8.0 MM)
  • Powder (150-25 microns)

NLP Group’s Quartz specifications:

  • High content of SiO2 from 99.5% to 99.9%
  • Low content of alkali or traces
  • Low Fe content up to 0.01%
  • Mohs hardness:7-7.8
  • Specific Gravity: 2.90-2.8

CHEMICAL COMPOISTION / PARATMETERS:

  • Sio2: 99.5%-99.8%
  • Fe2O3: 0.01% or below
  • Al2O3: 0.01%
  • Cao: 0.01%
  • Specific Gravity: 2.90-2.8
  • MgO, Na2O, K2O, TIO2, MnO are absent

Grades of Quartz Powder: On the basis of silica content, we have divided our material in 3 different grades.

  • 1J NQP 95 - SiO₂ ranges between 95%- 96%
  • 1J NQP 97 - SiO₂ ranges between 97%- 98%
  • 1J NQP 99 - SiO₂ ranges between 99%- 99.9%
